On August 4th, UFC Chinese fighter Song Yadong recorded a video on his personal social media, revealing that he was robbed at gunpoint by four men the previous night while returning from San Francisco to Sacramento.
Song Yadong stated that his cell phone, wallet, and necklace were taken during the incident. He also took the opportunity to caution overseas Chinese to be careful, especially when out at night.
When asked if he had the impulse to fight back, Song Yadong responded, “Not at all. What are you going to fight back against? With a slight movement of their fingers, it wouldn’t matter even if you could fly. With four people and four guns, it wouldn’t matter even if there was just one person. First and foremost, you have to ensure your safety, as material possessions can be given away without care. Put simply, with just a slight movement of their fingers, they could shoot you. Even if you don’t die, you could end up lying in bed or disabled. There’s really no need for that.”
