Thermos juicers made in China recalled for risk of electric shock

The Defective Products Management Center of the State Administration of Market Supervision and Administration of China issued a piece of news on April 20 that Thermos (China) Housewares Co., Ltd. recalled 394 THERMOS kitchen machines (juice extractors). It is understood that there is a risk of electric shock for the products within the scope of the recall.

According to reports, the recalled product is a thermos kitchen machine (juicer) (EHA-2104E-LG/220V~50Hz 250W) manufactured by Thermos (China) Housewares Co., Ltd., from May 24 to May 25, 2018.

It is understood that there are two problems with the products within the scope of the recall. Among them, the power cord in the main unit has no grounding mark. When the power cord is repaired and replaced, it may cause misoperations such as wiring errors and the risk of electric shock. In addition, the locking screw of the motor ground wire in the main unit is not equipped with an anti-falling gasket, and the clamping device is not firm enough, which may cause the internal wires to become loose and cause electric shocks to consumers.

The reporter learned that Thermos (China) Housewares Co., Ltd. will publish a recall plan on the official website from now on, reminding consumers who hold the affected products to stop using the product, and contact Thermos (China) Housewares Co., Ltd. or its distributors for free repairs.
