Juicers of brands such as Thermos and LOCK&LOCK have recently been named by a Chinese regulatory authority for being unqualified. China’s Shanghai Market Supervision Bureau recently released the results of special random inspections on the quality of juicers being sold in China. After various index tests, a total of 5 batches of unqualified products were detected, and the problem items included “marks and instructions, grounding measures, and structure”.
The samples this time come from e-commerce platforms and offline major supermarkets in China. Among them, one batch of unqualified juicers came from e-commerce channels. The “LOCK&LOCK” orange juicing machine sold at Tmall LOCK&LOCK store and produced by Shanghai LOCK&LOCK Trading Co., Ltd. was found to be unqualified in respects of “marks and instructions, structure”.
Four other batches of unqualified products were from Shanghai No.1 Yaohan, New World, Wal-Mart and other offline supermarkets, such as one type of “THERMOS” juicers sold by Shanghai No.1 Yaohan Co., Ltd. and produced by Thermos (China) Household Products Co., Ltd. The juicer was found to be unqualified for “marks and instructions, grounding measures”.
And this EHA-2104E-LG juicer from Thermos was reported in April to have the risk of electric shock. Therefore, 394 of them which were manufactured between May 24, 2018 and May 25, 2018 were recalled. Surprisingly, there are still juicers of the same model with the same safety issues being sold in Chinese stores.
According to analysis, unqualified “structural and grounding measures” are serious safety and quality issues, and consumers may be directly threatened with their personal safety during use.
Unqualified products also involve brands such as BUGATTI, HUrom, and Wokuer. The specific list is as follows.
