The new round of COVID-19 is spreading in many places in China. On August 14, Guangzhou City began to vaccinate a new coronavirus vaccine that requires three injections, which is China’s first recombinant subunit protein vaccine. It is said that this vaccine can effectively fight against the Delta variant virus.
The Guangzhou Municipal Government of China announced on August 13 that it would start vaccinating Guangzhou citizens with the recombinant new coronavirus vaccine produced by Anhui Zhifeilongkema Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd. on August 14. This is the fourth COVID-19 vaccine approved for use in China.
It is understood that the vaccine was developed by the team of Academician Gao Fu from the Institute of Microbiology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was approved for use in Uzbekistan in early March of this year and was evaluated by the country as one of the safest and most effective vaccines in the world.
The second injection and the first injection are separated by one month, and the third injection must be inoculated within six months of the first injection. After three injections, the antibody transfer rate can reach 99%.
According to the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the principle of the vaccine technology is similar to the mature hepatitis B vaccine.
After vaccination, it can stimulate the body to produce immunity against the new coronavirus. The study also found that the serum samples of the volunteers who completed the three injections showed that the neutralizing antibodies against the Delta variant did not decrease.
