According to the Beijing News Beike Finance, on December 9, 2023, Huawei’s Pollen Annual Conference was held at the Songshan Lake base.
Yu Chengdong, Executive Director and CEO of Huawei’s Terminal Business Group, and Chairman of the Intelligent Car Solutions Business Unit, stated at the conference that next year, Huawei will launch highly pioneering, innovative, and disruptive products. Yu Chengdong candidly expressed, “At that time, you will see how we can rewrite the history of this industry. We hope to continuously exceed everyone’s expectations, do things that others cannot think of or think of but cannot do, and even things they dare not imagine.”
Yu Chengdong also revealed that Huawei will launch products with Hongmeng native applications and native experiences next year, stating that it will be the true king in the entire Chinese terminal operating system.
Earlier, there were reports that Huawei might launch a Hongmeng version incompatible with Android next year. On November 20, according to news from The Paper, a Huawei spokesperson stated that the release time is still uncertain, and in the future, iOS, Hongmeng, and Android will be three independent systems.
Earlier, according to a report from Securities Times, some industry insiders also stated, “Huawei does have this plan internally, that is, to launch a Hongmeng version incompatible with Android next year, but there is currently no internal notice, so the specific launch time is not clear.”
At the Huawei Autumn Full-Scene New Product Launch on September 25, Yu Chengdong announced that Hongmeng native applications were fully launched, and the HarmonyOS NEXT developer preview version would be open to developers in the first quarter of 2024.
At the event, Huawei held a Hongmeng ecological cooperation signing ceremony with nearly 40 partners, including: Xiaohongshu, China Merchants Bank, Ctrip Travel, Meitu, 58.com, 360 Browser, NetEase Youdao Dictionary, MokaDocs, Classln App, Hongen Literacy, Hanwang Technology, Homework Help, Yitu MindMaster App, Meeting Meeting, 2345 Good Compression, Baby Bus, Ximalaya, iFlytek Listening, Haochen CAD, Life on Hand, Postal Savings Bank, Titanium Media, Driving Treasure, Scholar Electronics, Bank of Communications, CITIC Bank, Industrial Securities, CNR Network, Sohu News, Dragonfly FM, JD Health, Dangka Space, Oriental Fortune, Tiantian Fund, Dazhihui, Shenzhen CA Signature, Neusoft International, China Audio and Video Association, and other application and service providers.
On October 26, more than ten well-known Internet companies, including Alipay, Xiaohongshu, Bilibili, Didi Chuxing, Tongcheng Travel, and Hello Bike, participated in Huawei’s HarmonyOS Ecological Partner Joint Innovation Conference held in Shanghai. They gained an understanding of the capabilities and features of HarmonyOS NEXT and reached on-site cooperation intentions for more than 10 innovative scenarios.
