Hsia Yun-Ting Takes Legal Action Against AI-Generated Deepfake Sex Videos Going Viral

Hsia Yun-Ting, founder of “HBD” and known in Taiwan as the “Beauty CEO,” frequently markets herself through short videos, gaining widespread popularity online due to her attractive looks and stunning figure. She has even claimed to have a net worth in the hundreds of millions of New Taiwan Dollars. Recently, rumors surfaced that she is the protagonist in a leaked sex video. In response, she announced that she has hired a team of lawyers to gather evidence and file a lawsuit, emphasizing, “Anyone distributing these videos is committing a criminal offense; do not test the law.”

In the early hours of the 17th, Hsia Yun-Ting posted a lawyer’s statement on Instagram, mentioning that the leaked video contains private sexual content. The creation and distribution of such videos are illegal, and this video has already harmed Hsia Yun-Ting’s career. “Ms. Hsia Yun-Ting utterly detests the malicious distribution of this video, and to prevent similar incidents from happening again and causing harm to others, she will not show leniency in this case.” The legal team is currently gathering evidence and preparing to file a lawsuit.

Hsia Yun-Ting stated that she received numerous private messages with screenshots from netizens throughout the day on the 16th, which made her realize that her face had been used in an AI-generated deepfake sex video, and the video is now circulating online. “There’s no need for everyone to worry about me; you are more anxious than I am. I often receive such fake videos and photos, and after the AI forgeries, they even try to extort money from me in New Taiwan Dollars.” She revealed that by noon, she had already instructed her legal team to start collecting evidence from various groups to prepare for a lawsuit. “Anyone distributing these videos is committing a criminal offense; do not test the law.” She expressed her sorrow, saying, “The most heartbreaking thing is seeing many women suffering the same fate and being powerless to handle it. Currently, I’m trying to hold on. You could potentially cause great harm to a woman, becoming the biggest perpetrator.”
