In order to help consumers better understand the quality of underwear, China’s Jiangsu Market Supervision Bureau recently conducted special quality supervision and spot checks on underwear and lingerie sold in the Chinese market.
A total of 187 batches of underwear were spot-checked this time, including knitted underwear and knitted thermal underwear. After testing, 9 batches of underwear and lingerie were unqualified, involving brands such as Langsha, Lefuni, Oh! Cool, Mybody, Platinum·Fingerland, COMFORT, WAKAKEEP, Lualdlsee, Sanfu, etc. The pass rate for this period was 95.2%.
The unqualified products were inspected separately from physical supermarkets in China such as Wal-Mart, Hualian, E-Mart, etc., and 2 batches were obtained from e-commerce platforms. The reasons for the unqualified products were the same – the “fiber content” item was unqualified.
Fiber content reflects the true attributes of clothing fabrics and is an important quality indicator of clothing. The quality of raw materials is one of the important factors that determine the value of clothing products. Consumers often choose clothing based on the stated fiber content. If the fiber content is not marked or marked incorrectly, it will directly affect consumers’ purchase of clothing.
Unqualified Chinese underwear and lingerie manufacturers include Zhejiang Langsha Underwear Co., Ltd., Shanghai Better Textile Co., Ltd., Dongguan Meishang Clothing Co., Ltd., Fujian Sanfu Department Store Co., Ltd. and so on.
