1. Overview of mutual inductors
The function of the mutual inductor is mainly to convert the high voltage or large current into standard low voltage (100V) or standard low current (5A or 1A, both refer to the rated value) in order to realize the standardization and miniaturization of measuring instruments, protection equipment, and automatic control equipment. At the same time, mutual inductors can also be used to isolate high-voltage systems to ensure the safety of people and equipment.
In power supply lines, the current difference ranges from a few amperes to tens of thousands of amperes, and the voltage difference ranges from a few volts to several million volts. The current and voltage in the circuit are relatively high, such as direct measurement is very dangerous. In order to facilitate the conversion of the secondary instrument measurement to a relatively uniform current and voltage, the use of mutual inductors can play the role of variable current and voltage and electrical isolation.
Mutual inductors are divided into two categories: voltage mutual inductors and current mutual inductors. Voltage mutual inductors can be used for voltage and power measurement in high-voltage and ultra-high-voltage power systems. Current mutual inductors can be used for the measurement of exchange current, the measurement of exchange power, and the protection of electric drive lines.
2. The output of China’s Mutual inductors
Mutual inductors first appeared at the end of the 19th century. With the development of the power industry, the voltage and accuracy levels of mutual inductors have been greatly improved, and many special mutual inductors have been developed, such as voltage and current composite mutual inductors, DC current mutual inductors, and high-accuracy current ratio devices. And voltage ratio, high-current laser current mutual inductor, electronic circuit compensation mutual inductor, photoelectric mutual inductor in ultra-high voltage system, and voltage and current mutual inductor in SF6 fully enclosed combined electrical equipment (GIS).
With the continuous promotion of scientific and technological development and the unremitting efforts of electric power science and technology scholars, mutual inductors have made practical progress. In 2019, China’s output of mutual inductors was 109,548,800 units, and in the first half of 2020, China’s output of mutual inductors was 54.322 million units.
3. China’s mutual inductor import and export
In recent years, China’s mutual inductor industry has developed rapidly, and China has gradually become one of the country’s largest mutual inductor exporters. In 2020, China’s mutual inductor export volume will be 98,633,300, which is a decrease of 6,646,300 from 2019; China’s mutual inductor imports in 2020 The number was 5,412,100, an increase of 279,100 from 2019.
Data from the “Report on China’s Mutual inductor Industry Market In-depth Evaluation and Investment Opportunity Forecast for 2021-2027” released by Zhiyan Consulting shows: China’s mutual inductor exports in 2019 are 238 million U.S. dollars, and the import value is 47 million U.S. dollars; China’s mutual inductors in 2020 The export value is 200 million U.S. dollars, and the import value is 42 million U.S. dollars.
The average export price of China’s mutual inductors has continued to decline as a whole, while the average import price has shown a fluctuating growth; in 2019, the average export price of China’s mutual inductors was 2.26 US dollars/unit, and the average import price was 9.11 US dollars/units; the average export price of China’s mutual inductors in 2020 It is US$2.03/piece, and the average import price is US$7.73/piece.
Mutual inductors with a rated capacity ≤ 1KVA are China’s main import types. In 2020, China will import 4.879 million mutual inductors with a rated capacity ≤ 1KVA, with an import value of 36.269 million US dollars, accounting for 90.15% and 86.71% of the total import of mutual inductors respectively.
In 2020, China exported 96.688 million mutual inductors with a rated capacity of ≤1KVA, with an export value of US$183.46 million, accounting for 98.03% and 91.55% of the total export of mutual inductors respectively.
