China’s Hubei Provincial Market Supervision Bureau issued a notice on the results of the quality supervision and random inspection of disposable protective masks on August 16.

A total of 100 batches of masks were sampled in this period. The samples were from Wuhan, Xiangyang, Yichang, Jingmen, Huanggang, Qianjiang and other cities in the province. After inspection, 59 batches were found unqualified, with a disqualification rate of 59% and a pass rate of only 40%.
